June 26th, 2007 - My Schooling Days
The First memories I have of school are from the Srikantha Shishuvihara, a small primary school in Gita Road immediately behind my house located on Devaparthiva Road, Chamarajapuram, Mysore. I was then about4 ½ years. I vaguely remember the entrance to the school situated on the right side passage of the main house. It had a small play area that could be accessed through a small gap in the adjoining wall with a sand pit, and metal swings. I do not remember a slide.
I also remember that we had a group photo taken.
I don’t think I continued in that school for more than a year. My father who was working in CFTRI had arranged for a seat to be allocated to one of our neighbours’ kid from his quota. They were to shift to Delhi and could not take up the admission. As the effort had already been undertaken, it was decided to use the same allocation and get me admitted to CFTRI School.
Thus began MY SCHOOLING DAYS.
June 13th, 2007 - Uncle Harry – Teacher Feature #1
How many of you remember the legendary Uncle Harry the Band Master of CFTRI School? Lets spare a few moments remembering him. He worked for the school for a few decades before his journey on earth ended in the late 90s. Would love to hear from others about ur experiences with this man and what you remember of him at school.
Though he lost his voice in the latter part of his life, he still worked hard and performed his job of creating music without being able to express himself in words. Dont know why he comes to my mind today.
Cheers every one!
Lets keep this forum alive by remembering many such members of the faculty.
June 13th, 2007 - Hello… Hello!
Hey jayanth, looks like you are the only one writing around here.
Thought I would just drop in and say “hi”; oh…and good work with
the site. It’s looking good, and good that you made it blog instead
of a site. Great going…

Kudos to Jayanth and all others involved
Its a great beginning for building the form further.
Well on my part I missed it, but hey our batch was well represented there, actively giving “bumps” (I still don’t know the reason
)
This brought good old memories back to life.
I was most impressed by the participation of so many teachers.
